Azimut is an Israeli startup developing AI-based maritime surveillance and threat detection solutions. Founded by former officers of the Israeli Navy’s Marine Patrol Unit, the company combines deep operational knowledge with advanced technological capabilities in computer vision and data fusion.

Azimut’s proprietary platform, ALBATROSS, transforms standard EO/IR video sources into smart, real-time intelligence systems. The solution integrates multiple data sources—such as marine cameras, drones, radar, and AIS—and applies deep learning algorithms to detect, classify, and track vessels and anomalies. It generates real-time alerts for control centers, enhancing maritime domain awareness and operational decision-making.

The company supports a variety of use cases including port security, protection of critical maritime infrastructure, environmental monitoring, and search and rescue. Unlike hardware-focused competitors, Azimut offers a scalable software layer that integrates easily into existing infrastructure, reducing deployment time and enabling rapid field implementation.
