The first proof-of-concept product brought to the market was the Bio&Pot, a biodegradable planting pot that can be planted in the soil. This avoid root shoch at transplant, provides efficiencies in irrigation and fertilization and avoids the hassle of empties collection and recycling. The Bio&Pot demonstrate circular economy in action - a material made of green waste, used now to manufacture new products that nurture the soil at the end-of-life. Bio&Pot are manufactured by the company in Germany, and are today the choice of many growers and green plant retailers looking to reduce their fossil based plastic use. Bioplasmar has set a fully owned compounding facility in Germany and is able to supply, planting pots and bio composites form its own facility.
