Codename One is an easy-to-use Java development platform designed to substantially reduce the development cost and time to market for cross-platform mobile application deployment in the cloud. The company leverages a lightweight technology technique to provide true cross-platform application development on all mobile platforms.
Codename One allows Java developers to build native mobile applications for tablets and phones on all mobile operating systems, including Android, iOS, Windows Phone, RIM, and more. The resulting applications are true native applications and not HTML wrappers of any kind.
Codename One is based on the combination of an open-source project in development since 2005 and a cloud-based solution that seamlessly converts Java binaries to native platforms and compiles them using the operating systems native toolchain.
