DigiGage has invented a technology that displays moving images within the cabin of an elevator, enabling elevator companies to add a virtual window in closed elevator cabs. The images can be programmed to move in sync with the elevator, creating the illusion of a window to the outside world.
The company’s patent-pending software aims to improve the user experience in elevators without the use of advertisements. DigiGage’s software is designed to run on common hardware completely independently from the elevator’s system. The DigiGage system uses AI algorithms to control virtual-reality content that visually reflects the movement of the elevator. When passengers feel the movement of the elevator, they will see the content change accordingly.
On top of its design features, the system also provides an information layer that can display building messages, floor numbering, floor signage, news feeds, and social network connectivity. The system can be managed remotely by the user via the DigiGage cloud.
