Elevion develops super-heavy autonomous carrier platforms for unmanned aerial systems. Its SHAC system is a rocket-propelled, autonomous VTOL mobile runway designed to launch legacy UAVs weighing over 500 kg without requiring a fixed runway or dedicated launch infrastructure.
The platform carries a UAV to altitude, accelerates it to takeoff speed, releases it in flight, and then returns autonomously for reuse. This enables heavy UAVs to operate from more flexible locations while preserving compatibility with existing aircraft designs.
