Black soldier fly larvae are the ultimate recycling machine made by nature. These larvae can upcycle almost any kind of organic waste stream into high-value insect protein for animal feed and fertilizer for agriculture, in a zero-waste process. Globally, one-third of the food humans produce is wasted. Untreated food waste ends up in landfills, contributing ~10% of global CO2 emissions. FreezeM enables the efficient conversion of these waste streams into a sustainable protein source for animal feed. By providing its seed packages, the company can support insect protein production in small farms, municipalities, and large-scale insect protein factories.
