2.1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water. 1.1 billion live in critical water shortage. UN experts, expect water scarcity to accelerate due to climate change, population growth, and rapid industrialization & urbanization. There are limited unsustainable solutions.
Unsafe and lack of drinking water leads to the transmission of diseases. In arid regions there is excessive use of groundwater. This leads to the depletion of underground aquifers and an increase in salinity levels. The use of saline and/or contaminated water leads to health problems for humans and animals and environmental damage. Existing solutions are expensive, unhealthy, polluting and unsustainable. Amongst these: Bottles water, Trucked/mobilized water and direct condensation technology for extracting water from air.
