IONOTERRA has developed a system that can predict earthquakes exceeding magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale eight hours in advance, with a precision rate of over 90%. Once deployed, the system uses radar to continuously scan a specific ionospheric region spanning thousands of square kilometers over a seismically active zone.
IONOTERRAs proprietary algorithm analyzes all data gathered by the radar and ionosonde sensors. It then produces a geo-seismic real-time risk map of any monitored region in order to warn of upcoming earthquakes.
