NAM Technology specializes in energy-efficient technologies for the HVAC and refrigeration industries. The company developed a heat pump prototype based on a multi-cascade concept invented by NAM Technology for its cooling solution.

Globally, heating accounts for nearly half of all energy consumption and 40% of energy-related carbon dioxide emissions, and refrigeration accounts for 15% of greenhouse gases emitted. Nam Technology aims to combat this by using its novel and patented multi-cascade technology to increase energy efficiency and thus to decrease the heat pump and refrigerator's energy requirements. Nam Technology's new thermodynamic algorithm means that three kilowatts of heat can be obtained from one Kw of electricity, decreasing the energy requirement by 67%. Indeed, the start-up's aim is to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 5.1 million tons per year after five years and 63.6 million tons per year after ten years.
