Netafim has launched a carbon credit program for drip-irrigated rice, with the aim of reducing methane emissions from rice cultivation to near zero while providing additional long-term income to growers.
In 2018, Mexican chemical firm Mexichem acquired 80% of Netafim, with Kibbutz Hatzerim retaining 20% ownership.
