Raycatch Overview
Raycatch is the developer of DeepSolar, a cloud-based, fully automated AI diagnostics system that delivers a 360ยบ view of photovoltaic plants. DeepSolar applies proprietary algorithms and deep-learning techniques to existing plant data, eliminating the noise in order to identify patterns and determine root causes.
The system provides plant owners, asset managers, and operations and maintenance teams with actionable insights and decision-making capabilities while accurately reporting the true state of the plantโs health. DeepSolar shows plant owners and operators the exact location of the plantโs performance issues and how to solve them and advises whether the repair is a worthwhile investment, all while clearly distinguishing between recoverable and non-recoverable energy sources.
DeepSolar is user friendly and platform agnostic. It integrates with existing SCADA and monitoring systems and analyzes and presents all the data in a single, unified dashboard. The system is designed to help customers effectively manage their portfolio and optimize their energy yield, thereby reducing operational costs and boosting return on investment.
Raycatch Climate Tech relevance
To maximize solar energy, photovoltaic equipment needs to be closely monitored. Current methods which are meant to provide information on any technical issues provide very limited analysis in terms of accuracy and scope, and cannot automatically apply the customersโ business logic. Therefore, a software layer between the financial asset management systems and the monitoring systems is needed, which applies AI and is referred to as โdigital asset managementโ. By applying AI diagnostics to high-volume data, Raycatch provides solar plant owners with actionable insights on a daily basis, increasing energy yield. Based on the analysis of more than 4GW of solar assets by Raycatchโs proprietary DeepSolarโข system, identifying the actual recoverable energy in the plant adds 4% to 5% of yield on average.
