RedC Biotech is a pre-clinical development-stage company developing a process for the production of universal red blood cells for transfusions.
The universal red blood cells provided by RedC will be a blood type that is suitable for almost every patient. The blood units are uniform and pathogen free, with no undesirable blood components. Red blood cell transfusions from RedC Biotech will eliminate the need for volunteer donors and can help overcome seasonal shortages. The blood units will not require additional testing in hospitals.
