Friendly Robotics designs and manufactures Robomow robotic lawn mowers. The automatic mowers are controlled by the Robomow smartphone app, which can set a schedule for the mower to perform automatically. The mowers are designed to provide an easy, convenient, and time-saving mow.

Completely electrically powered, Robomow mowers run quietly and self-dock at a base station that replenishes the mower's rechargeable batteries. The mowers are equipped with strong blades, wide wheels, and a sensor system for detecting and avoiding objects on the lawn. As the mower passes over the lawn, it mulches the cut grass, a process made possible by the device's automation, which enables regular cuts to produce shorter clippings. The mower also performs edging.

Robomow's technology addresses the safety hazards of lawn mowing by distancing home owners and their families from the chore while enabling them to control the process from their phones.

In May 2017, Friendly Robotics was merged with a subsidiary of MTD Products, a developer of industrial robotic lawn mowers.
