Spectrophon develops health and sport sensors together with software, integrated in wearable devices such as smartwatches and in smartphones. The company focuses the application of its technology on four subjects: glucometry, calorimetry (calories burned monitor), body dehydration monitoring and lactate monitor. It integrates its technology in commercially available smartwatch and successfully tested it in a few clinical studies (for glucometry and dehydration monitor) as well focus studies (for the calorimeter and lactate monitor). The technology can be used with many other wearable devices and smartphones as well.
Spectrophon sensor technology is comprised of patented chemochromic layer from different sensitive materials that are applied on the surface of a photoelectronic component, and patented algorithms for processing the sensor signal.
