Starstone recognizes that the production of traditional cement and concrete is a major contributor to CO2 emissions, accounting for approximately 7% of global emissions. By developing bacteria-based technology to produce novel cement and concrete, Starstone aims to significantly reduce carbon emissions associated with traditional production methods. This reduction in emissions aligns with the global efforts to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
