Tap Systems is developing a wireless wearable keyboard. Users attach the flexible keyboard to one hand and type on any hard surface. The keyboard's internal MCU processes gestures and inputs them as typed keys to synced devices including smartphones, tablets, PCs, smartwatches, virtual-reality consoles, and smart TVs via Bluetooth. Tap can serve a variety of markets including virtual reality and adaptive input for the blind and visually impaired.
Tap interprets 31 finger gestures with 99% accuracy. The company offers video tutorials for its customers, which teach users in one hour how to type with the wearable. Tap also offers a developer kit for integrating the software into different applications.
