Intuitive Surgical, Inc. engages in the development, manufacture, and marketing of da Vinci Surgical Systems, and related instruments and accessories for invasive surgery. Its products include Da Vinci and Ion.

Intuitive has two growing R&D centers in Israel focusing on digital and data in minimal invasive procedures: the first center in Haifa established in early 2020 following the acquisition of Orpheus Medical, and the second center in Tel Aviv opened shortly after.

With the Israeli R&D centers, the company has taken another step towards implementing its strategy to create a digital ecosystem to assist surgeons, operating room technicians and hospitals when caring for their patients.
