I am an entrepreneur. I have recently co-founded Dronomy, my second startup. Dronomy develops drones that fly autonomously in construction sites for documentation and measurements. Construction is a huge market waiting for disruption. We intend to play a major role in digitizing the construction world. In 2005 I founded Optigo, an electro-optical systems company targeting the industrial and defense markets. Optigo was acquired in 2010 by a large defense contractor. I coordinated the challenging post-merger activities, until the successful integration with the acquirer was achieved. Today, Optigo is thriving within its acquirer with over $50M worth of order backlog. Before founding Optigo, I spent 15 years in various positions in the electro-optics field, including CEO, VP R&D, product marketing manager etc. I enjoy identifying market needs and inventing technological solutions for them. I am pretty good in creating a pleasant and creative work environment, which attracts excellent people. I am married and a father of four. Besides spending time with the family, I am a Tenor singer in a professional classical music choir, occasionally play the flute, and ski pretty well. And I use first person language when I write about myself.
