Dome9 is a dream come true for me where an idea that I've been toying with, for over 5 years, is about to see the light of day. It combines my Check Point experience with the amazing things I've learned about the web, and found their way into an exciting product that we'll Q1/2011. Stay tuned. Early 2007 I've founded a new Internet company: BetUknow that combines the new web thinking with the world of sports betting and predictions. BetUknow is still going strong with a major client offering to be announced soon (Dec 2010) Before that I was self employed for three years, building a private investment portfolio and evaluating many start-ups (mostly in the security space) for several Israeli VCs. Playing Golf certainly helped managing the spare time and took my handicap down to 9. In Nov 2002 I left Check Point Software after spending 6 amazing years being part of building and growing this amazing success story. My first position in Check Point was the technical marketing manager, where I established the Technical Marketing department in 1996 and led the group for over two years. Involved in most major international deals, covering both technological and commercial sides. In 1998 I was given the green light by Check Point's CEO to build Check Point's service provider product offering that became known as Provider-1. Still considered as one of the best and most successful product launches in Check Point's history. Provider-1 generated direct revenues of approximately $6M in 1999, $20M in 2000, $26M in 2001 and climbed over $30M in 2002. Indirect revenues generated by Provider-1 are more than triple of direct revenues. Other leading products my group was in charge of included Firewall-1 GX - Check Point's GPRS/3G firewall product that was developed in cooperation with the world's leading cellular network groups. Before Check Point I established the Internet division for Calanit Ltd., then Israel's leading software distributor.
