Nadav Soferman

I write code since I was 8 (started with Basic, moved to Pascal, played with Assembly, then some C, practiced Perl, moved to Java, fought J2EE, experienced Javascript, was impressed by Ruby on Rails, got surprised by Objective-C and now writing mainly Rails and Java). Ive been working in official software development positions for the last 16 years. I worked mainly in Internet start-ups. Ive started with infrastructure and IT roles, then switched to development and later to R&D management roles. I designed and developed various small to large Web and mobile systems, both client-side and server-side projects. Ive managed and led R&D projects and teams. I worked mainly on back-end systems, but in the last few years I also enjoy working on front-end systems that involve defining the user experience, performing UI design and practicing some graphic design as a hobby. I like working on technology initiatives from their early stages while trying to contribute to a wide range of aspects. I currently focus on my own venture: Cloudinary. Cloudinary is a SaaS that allows any web application to manage all images in the cloud: upload, resize, crop, detect faces, apply effects, Facebook & Twitter support, fast CDN delivery and a lot more.
