Yaron Blinder, PhD

Biomedical engineer and data scientist. Made the switch from regenerative medicine research to predictive medicine entrepreneurship. Currently leading Radical AI, LTD - an early stage startup developing deep learning-based solutions for medical imaging diagnostics workflow. Previous research: I received my Ph.D. from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) in collaboration with the Wyss institute at Harvard, focusing on tissue engineering of implantable 3D vascularized tissue. This work included various technological developments, ranging from 3D mammalian cell-culture protocol development and experimental design, through computational modeling and design of multi-physics systems (particularly fluid dynamics and transport phenomena), to 3D confocal microscopy and large-scale image processing algorithm design and analysis. Previous non-research professional experience includes new venture market analysis and business development for the Misgav incubator (now Trendlines Medical), a medical device startup incubator in Israel. Previously active in the Boston startup scene through the Startup Leadership Program, where I was a fellow and subsequent program leader. Now back in Israel to build exciting new things.
