The genesis of Blinker derive from a need to increase the visibility of the bike rider (be it Motorcycle or Bicycle) especially in the urban traffic environment were moving vehicles are positioned in close proximity to one another. The initial requirement was to elevate the signals from the bike chassis to the helmet. Next we added the ability to indicate the driver intentions mainly in 2 scenarios: Lane Departure and brake or descend. The value of Blinker is in its ability to contribute to a safer driving environment for both the person wearing the helmet as well for the drivers around him/her. By signaling the drivers intentions Blinker contribute the driver safety by preventing accidents from happening. Allow Bike riders to conveniently and safely merge into the urban traffic. Accidents cost people's lives and place a huge burden on the local economy. It has been demonstrated in numerous studies that effective prevention of vehicles accidents improve people's life and contribute to the economy both on the daily life of urban commute as well as for the long term burden on transportation, law order, health, insurance prices, etc. Unlike cars that have a strict regulation of safety measurements, Bikes have personal protective equipment (PPE) as of today state regulation of motorbikes compulsory PPE is limited to the wearing of helmets. 3 REASONS WHY BLINKER IS SO SPECIAL: 1.
