MY STORY
The cellular phone market changed significantly with the introduction of the iPhone, suddenly phones took on a more central role in our lives.
Unbeknownst to users, mobile devices posed in an increased risk to radiation exposure. Due to my background in cellular technology I realized that many of the potential risks to radiation exposure were not known. Particularly at risk were children, who were spending more time on their phones due the explosion of social media.
I developed an app, tawkon for measuring/tracking cell phone radiation and user exposure. I joined forces with researchers, epidemiologists and legislators to educate the public about the risks associated with/and solutions for safely enjoying these devices.
I am proud to say that tawkon was selected as one of the best Android apps by TNW and nominated by WIRED as one of Europes hottest 100 startups in 2012.
