Serial entrepreneur and startup dreamer, holding BSC and MSC degrees in Electronic Engineering.
For the last 9 years I have been working within several different startups which I have either founded or co-founded: the pharmaceutical industry, augmented reality, mobile development and currently indoor navigation.
I am entirely involved in all the stages of creating full systems/products which integrate multiple technologies, from the initial idea, product planning, strategy, definition to development and go to market.
From a technical aspect I have thoroughly taken part in R&D, developing core technology related to: cloud image matching, offline image matching, image tracking, motion detection, face detection and tracking, face recognition, geolocation AR and 3D rendering engines.
My direct contribution has been in the core development field. I have actively participated in a vast assortment of steps including: computer vision algorithm definition and analysis, C & C++ dev for desktop, Android NDK & native iOS, building Android and iOS SDKs, optimising parts of the code with NEON and ASM and working with OpenGL ES 1, 2 & 3.
In the domain of research I have co-written 7 patents in the spheres of computer vision and 3D.
I have substantial expertise in developing on ObjC, Java and C# and the ability to develop any cross platform mobile app from scratch.
I have also been deeply involved with the server division of the products that I have developed: DBs (mainly MySQL & PostgreSQL), web services (PHP, Java, C++), server setup (any linux distribution) and recently I have been working extensively with AWS products such as EC2, SNS, SDB, RDS, DinamoDB, S3, Elastic Beanstalk...
From the user and product planning perspective I have intensive experience in: analysis of competitors, define UI & UX, go to market and product marketing strategy, vision, evolution and roadmap.
